• The hot topic of the day seems to be online survivalism, aka migrating dependence on US based infrastructure. No-one explicitly offered to talk, but there is much interest in the topic. So tonight will be an ad-hoc community driven discussion on ad-hoc friend-shoring of IT services.

So please bring your short (or long) overview of your solutions to share with the group. Topics that lit up our normally tranquil mailing list include:

• Self hosting
• Canadian hosting
• Canadian global connectivity (and yes, I had forgotten how much Canada there was west of Tweed) - Closed source software from suppliers based in countries threatening Canada, used in Canadian government, financial and business sectors.
