Virtualbox on Ubuntu: Building Sandboxes in my Basement
After struggling for a long time, trying to create an Oracle database cluster (RAC), I've finally succeeded in creating my own testing environment. I would like to share the process of creating multiple sandboxes using the latest releases of Ubuntu (11.04) and VirtualBox (4.0). The presentation would be a mix of live demos and slides, giving an overview on Virtual Machines (VM) and touching on specific setup options and commands. I will try to cover all this material in under an hour.
Speaker: Guy Quesnel (Professional Oracle DBA and Linux hobbyist)
The Inner Workings Of A Darknet While Hosting An International Capture The Flag Challenge (CTF).
Overview: Jeff Green will demonstrate and reveal the inner workings of an active darknet while the biggest Group51.org CTF is underway. Key sub topics will include: Virtualization, Network security, monitoring, system administration tips and the key services used to keep things going.
