Since then, it has grown into a ridiculously-flexible calendar and reminder system. While Remind remains a true old-style UNIX command-line tool, various back-ends add graphical interfaces and Postscript output so even die-hard GUI fans can feel comfortable with Remind. This talk will cover the basics of Remind and give you a taste for some advanced Remind programming. http://www.roaringpenguin.com/remind \\ ==== About the Speaker ==== David Skoll is the founder and president of Roaring Penguin Software Inc. and an avid Asterisk fan. {{history:eee.jpg?150x112|ASUS eeePC}} ===== ASUS eeePC: Low Cost, High Value Laptop ===== Speaker: [[history:speaker:27|Pat Suwalski]]\\ The eeePC is a new, low-cost, high value, and ultra-portable laptop from ASUS. It features several unique design elements, and it ships by default with a custom-blended Linux distribution based on Debian. Many features of the operating system have been optimized for this hardware, resulting in a very fast embedded-style Linux. Between its cost, choice if software, and form factor, this gadget should be of interest to many OCLUG members. \\ \\
